Cancellation policy

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day of the conclusion of the contract. The contract is considered concluded the moment we expressly accept your registration. You will receive further information about your right of withdrawal with the corresponding confirmation of acceptance.

Exercising the right of withdrawal

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us, Language for… INSTITUTE , Elisabethstraße 16, 52062 Aachen, Tel.: 0241 – 917 99 280 , Fax: 0241 – 917 99 279, E-Mail: info@language-for.de , by means of a clear statement (e.g. letter, fax or e-mail) of your decision to withdraw from this contract.

To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient that you send your notification of exercising your right of cancellation before the cancellation period expires.

Consequences of the revocation

If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including delivery costs (excluding any additional costs arising from your choice of a delivery method other than our cheapest standard delivery option), without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which we receive notification of your withdrawal from this contract.

For this refund, we will use the same payment method that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no case will you be charged any fees for this refund.

If you have requested that the service should begin during the withdrawal period, you must pay us a reasonable amount corresponding to the proportion of the services already provided up to the time you inform us of your exercise of the right of withdrawal with regard to the contract, in comparison to the total scope of the services provided for in the contract.

Limitations of the right of withdrawal

1) Cases of visa issuance for attending a language course

For language visa applications, German embassies and consulates generally require proof of payment for three modules in advance. If this proof is not provided, the applicant's "serious interest in attending the course" may be denied.

For this reason, Language for… INSTITUTE® invoices the course fees for three modules (excluding teaching materials) in advance for visa purposes .

• Visa granted: Course fees will not be refunded, as course attendance was the basis for the visa issuance and the service is guaranteed.
• Visa denied: Course fees paid will be refunded upon presentation of the written rejection notice from the relevant German mission abroad. A processing fee of €70 per module (a total of €210) will be retained.

2) Cases of registration for a telc exam

Registration deadlines at telc end no later than two weeks before the exam date . Language for… INSTITUTE® therefore sets a payment deadline that is before this deadline.

Upon receipt of payment, Language for… INSTITUTE® registers the participants with telc. The service provision (processing the registration with telc) begins with this registration. Cancellation of the telc registration is no longer possible after this point.

From this point onwards, a cancellation/withdrawal with Language for… INSTITUTE® regarding the exam registration is excluded.

Mandatory consumer rights under applicable law remain unaffected, unless they can be effectively restricted by contract.
